Soak you greens dried peas in water overnight or cook longer to achieve desired consistency.

You can also grow your own peas and potatoes to get maximum nutrition and cost effectiveness.

Cover  1 bag of peas in fresh water and cook on medium high heat. Add medium diced raw white potatoe as peas begin to soften. Add 1 clove of crushed garlic.  Add Lawrey’s Season Salt and black or cayenne pepper to taste. Stir periodically and add water to maintain the liquid consistency of soup. Once the peas and potatoes are completely softened and thoroughly cooked remove from heat and let cool for a couple of minutes. Pour all into a blender and puree until smooth.



Short on Time? You can make your own green pea flour by processing dry peas in blender. 2 Cups of hot water to 3 tablespoons of pea flour. Add garlic, salt, pepper and vegetable bullion for flavoring.


Serve soup warm with Cheese twist bread sticks, garlic bread on the side or croutons on top.

Soak 1 bag of 16 bean soup overnight to soften beans. Cover beans with fresh water and cook on medium heat. Cover with lid. Dice 1 fresh small to medium red onion, 1/2 fresh chili pepper. Add to soup. Add 1 tsp tumeric, 1 tsp garam masala. Add sea salt to taste.  Add water if necessary to maintain soup consistency.  Spices should be added early so that the flavors fully permeate the beans.  Stir and test beans until soft.


Variations can include adding vegetables. If fresh vegetables are added, wait until beans are almost done. Fresh vegetables have greatest nutritional value the less they are cooked. Suggestions include but are not limited to: corn, green peppers, zucchini, tomatoes, carrots. 


Serve with garlic bread.


* Note vegetables with natural sugar content like corn and carrots sweeten the pot and add crunch!


Rinse lentils removing non consistent particles. Cover 1 bag of red lentils  in water on medium heat.  Dice 1 medium sweet potato and handful of carrots. Add sweet potato and carrots to lentils and stir periodically until soft. Salt to taste. When all are softened. Remove from heat and cool for a couple of minutes before pouring all into a blender. Puree until texture is smooth. Serve warm.


Take one loaf of fresh Ciabata Bread. Slice down the center and then slice three long strips for each side of the bread, top and bottom. Cut each slice into large crouton size squares. Prepare frying pan with canola oil  on high heat.   Quickly toss to toast the croutons in a stir fry method of cooking until slightly browned. Add Lawrey’s Season Salt and fresh black pepper to taste.  Remove croutons  from frying pan and place on absorbent napkin to remove excess oil. 


Serve on soup or salad. Store in air tight container for future use.

Cook fresh beets until done. Peel and slice into strips for salad topping. 

Thoroughly clean and mix lettuce with baby spinach leaves.  Slice onion red or white, cucumbers  and carrots.

Set  on the side walnuts and raisons  and sunflower seeds or pine nuts  for healthy toppings.

Prepare the platter starting with the lettuce and spinach bed. Add your favorite raw vegetables, toppings and salad dressings.  Sparkling water with lemon is a refreshing beverage to top this healthy treat off.  Fruit and vegetable blended drinks are also great to serve with salad.


Serve with rice  or flax seed crackers.

If a heavier meal is better add potato salad for a side serving.

Red Lentil, Sweet Potatoe, Carrot Soup

16 Bean Soup

Velvety Smooth Green Pea Soup

                                                                 

1 cup Bob’s Red Mill Organic Buttermilk Whole Grain pancake and waffle mix

3/4 cup cold water

1 heaping tablespoon sweetened condensed milk

1 Tbsp Canola oil

2 eggs

Blend well. Oil waffle iron well with canola oil. Heat. Pour waffle mix and close lid. Wait until waffles smell done, approximately 3- 4 minutes. Check to see if waffles are golden brown. Serve hot with butter and your favorite syrup, jam or preserves!


Serve with sweet ripened fresh cut pineapple chunk, sliced bananas or fresh berries!


                                              Delicious Breakfast Waffles

                                                        Carrot Juice

3 - 5 Large Carrots


Clean fresh organic carrots, clip ends. Slice carrots into long strips. Feed strips in to juicer. Make sure drinking glass or container is in place  to collect fresh juice.  Serve over Ice or drink straight immediately for best flavor.  Fresh carrot juice can be stored refridgerated for about two days.

Peach Cobbler that is mouth watering delicious!!!


1 Box yellow cake mix

24 oz - 32  oz (approx 2 cans) fresh peaches approx 8 peaches

24 oz - 32 oz fresh crushed pineapple, 1 fresh pineapple peeled and cored, crush in blender pulse  coarsely

1 stick butter

brown sugar topping

1 cup chopped walnuts


Empty peaches in 9” x 12” glass baking dish. Spread fruit evenly across entire surface.

Empty pineapple  on top of peaches. Spread evenly.

Empty cake mix on top of fruit. Spread evenly.

Pour melted butter evenly across top of cake mix.

Sprinkle brown sugar sparingly.

Sprinkle walnut chips sparingly.


Bake at 350 degrees 1 hour or until golden brown. Cool 45 minutes.


Enjoy with vanilla ice cream. Yum!!!  5 Star recipe!!!

                                                     Peach Cobbler

                                             Beet, Carrot, Mango Juice

Beet Juice -Clean and cut fresh beets. Feed small sections of fresh raw beets into your juicer. Make sure container is in place to collect the fresh juice.  2 beets

Carrot Juice - Clean and slice fresh carrots the long way.  One at a time feed 6 carrots into your juicer. Just add to beet juice container.

Mango Juice - Peel and slice fresh 1 or 2 mangos. Put mango chucks  or slices into a blender and blend until smooth. 


Add beet juice and carrot juice to blender on top of mango pulp. Blend quickly.  Set juice mix aside.

Crush ice in your blender approximately 1/2 of a tray of ice. Pour juice over ice and blend with a few pulse taps. This will make you beverage cold and dilute the thick consistency of these fresh juices with water.


Serve and drink! This is a vitamin packed drink that is filled with nutrition!  It’s a beautiful color and tastes delicious!  That will make enough for two people.

 

                                 


                   Apple Bread Pudding


This rich, decadent recipe is delicious, delightful and very easy to prepare. One that will leave lasting memories to be sure:-)


3 eggs

1 14oz can sweetened condensed milk

1 3/4 cups of milk (water substitute is ok)

1/4 cup butter

1 tsp of your favorite Pure Vanilla Extract

1 tsp cinnamon

5 rough cut apples

4 cups of your favorite cubed bread (I used a french loaf for xtra texture)

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (pecans could work well too)

1/4 cup brown sugar seasoned with cinnamon


Preheat oven to 350. Grease a 9 x 9" baking dish, set aside.

Lightly beat eggs...then add condensed milk, 1 3/4 cut hot milk, 1/4 cup butter, vanilla

and cinnamon.  Mix well.


In separate bowl toss apples and bread cubes together. Spread in prepared baking dish.

Pour egg mixture over the bread and apples. Toss gently until all is covered. Pack down

if it's over the top of the baking dish. Mix walnuts with brown sugar/cinnamon. Sprinkle

this mixture on top of the bread pudding.


Bake at 350 for approximately 55 minutes.


Voila Apple Bread Pudding!!! Serve warm and with vanilla ice cream for the tastiest treat you can imagine.
